Selena Gomez may no longer be a Disney darling, but many still count her as one much to her dismay. She has slowly been trying to drop that without much avail, until now at least. She tweeted two photos of her at a shooting range. She says she was there to work off some stress, which can be true due to her crazy schedule. She just went to Bulgaria to shoot a new movie and she hasn’t had much time off for good behavior since ending her tour. Here is what she had to say with the 2 photos.

Released some stress today.

Not bad for this former American Disney darling. She is working hard to prove that she is an adult who can be taken seriously. I hope that she got the needed stress relief from practicing there. It sounds like she enjoyed her visit there, even if she didn’t give out any reasons for why they choose to go there for stress release. But it is better than partying and at least they were safe. It seems like before long we will have to refer to her without the whole former Disney connection.

How do you feel about the photos? I think they are okay. Not the worse or most controversial, even though she will likely receive some backlash for them. She is clearly an adult and if it helps her, she should be able to do it. Then again, it could have ties to her movie (which I am thinking is the most likely case). But she might be finding it enjoyable due to the tension release. Either way, I am still a fan of hers and will support her. I don’t think takes away from her and her big heart at all.

Justin Bieber had stiff competition at the Billboard Music Awards 2012 in the category of Social Artist of the Year including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, and Shakira.

The Boyfriend singer trotted on stage to his hit song wearing a hoodie and a white t-shirt. He looked cute if maybe a bit underdressed. In his speech, Justin Bieber thanked his fans and the Internet along with Scooter Braun and Usher. Finally, he thanked his mom, his dad, and God for the win. Ultimately, he seemed surprised about the win and had a bit of a tough time with his speech.

Among all the finalists for the award, they boasted a total of 90 million Twitter followers and 254 million friends on Facebook. Those are some astonishing numbers. It is truly surprising that Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, was not among the finalists for this award because she is no slouch in the social media department herself, but it looks like the others have a bigger social media presence than she does.

Were you at all surprised that Biebs won this award? The crowd actually yelled out Bieber’s name when the award was being presented, and most people expected the teen heart-throb to win it.

The June issue of Forbes features the former Disney princess and current actress and singer in a corporate-meeting-ready red sheath dress with simple black heels. Sophisticated, sleek hair, large hoop earrings, and classy, conservative makeup complete the look—completely different from the bikini-clad college girl Selena Gomez, 19, recently portrayed in Spring Breakers. But there is an important note, here. Forbes may know business, but Selena knows her fans and what makes them tick, click, and buy her merchandise. Her touch so far, whether in songs, clothing or phone apps, has been flawless. This is possibly because she uses the social media to keep herself in touch with her fan base, almost on a daily basis. She does not depend on men in suits to give her investment advice; she gleans it from teens in jeans.

The business mag featured Selena Gomez for her investment in the hugely successful photo-sharing app, Postcards on the Run. One sharing on Facebook brought 20,000 downloads in one day. That’s the way to introduce a product to the world. Today’s world, that would be.

Hollywood star Selena Gomez has been enchanted by Poli Genova, a Bulgarian singer who represented her country at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Duesseldorf.

Selena Gomez, who is shooting The Getaway together with Ethan Hawke in Bulgaria‘s Sofia until May 25, attended a party at Sofia‘s Yalta Club Friday night during which Poli Genova and the LaTiDa band presented their new song “Pants Only”.

The summer reggae song is said to have impressed Gomez who took a video of the performance with her mobile phone, Genova’s PR consultants have announced.

The Hollywood startlet is also reported to have had a great time, spending the entire night dancing, and singing together with the Bulgarian fans when Poli Genova performed live her 2011 Eurovision song, “Na Inat” (“In Defiance”). The entire time Selena Gomez was accompanied by 10 bodyguards.

Selena Gomez and Ethan Hawke are in Bulgaria to shoot “The Getaway“, a remake of the classic 1972 flick of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw.

Selena is believed to be playing Fran, the young wife of a veterinarian who is seduced by a bank robber and then forced to go on the run with him.

With the intensification of the work of the Nu Boyana film studios near Sofia, formerly the state-owned Bulgaria‘s National Film Center, Bulgaria has seen a steady stream of Hollywood celebrities shooting scenes there over the past few years.

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may not be completely happy right now if there is anything hinted at in some recent Twitter happenings.

Bieber recently posted a suspicious tweet that was only heightened thanks to something Gomez posted, states Hollyscoop. Bieber tweeted, “thank you for the time I had with you but I have to move on now…”

However, it was soon deleted. But, Gomez’s posting of a picture at a gun range with the comment, “released some stress today,” doesn’t put out the fires.

The 19-year-old Disney star tweeted two photos of herself locking and loading at a gun range with the captions “we’re on one,” and “released some stress today.”

Selena was in the zone, perfecting her gun stance and rocking the muting earmuffs. But why is our innocent Disney star busting shots at a range? To prep for a movie role of course! 

The actress is in Bulgaria shooting The Getaway remake, which is her new action packed movie with Ethan Hawke.

Gun ranges aside, there was a report that sparked a little bit of fear in the hearts of Justin and Selena fans. Celebuzz reported that Justin Bieber sent out a tweet that hinted at the two calling it quits. 

According to celebuzz the tweet read: “thank you for the time i had with you but i have to move on now…”

The tweet is no longer on Bieber’s twitter page and reports are indicating that it was indeed a fake tweet not sent out by the Biebs. 

Justin is gearing up for a performance at tomorrow night’s Billboard Music Awards, while Selena is filming in Bulgaria.

Selena Gomez looks like she could have just graduated from Harvard Business School in a new photo shoot for Forbes magazine. She comes full circle from her bikini-babe role in “Spring Breakers.”

Gomez, who is the subject of reports today that she may have broken up with boyfriend Justin Bieber, looks light years more sophisticated than her age in the Forbes photos.

Last fall, she joined a $750,000 angel-investment round for photo-sharing app Postcards on The Run, according to the magazine. One post on her Facebook wall resulted in 20,000 downloads in just 24 hours.

The 19-year-old actress and singer has spend the better part of the spring romping around St. Petersburg, Fla. in a bikini with Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson.

The girls rob a bank so the can finance their spring break trip, and party like there’s no tomorrow with a throng of bikini-clad girls until they meet up with a nefarious drug dealer played by James Franco.

Selena post photos on her Facebook page earlier this week, showing her firing a handgun at a live firing range. “Released some stress today,” she wrote.

Selena is in Bulgaria filming a remake of the Steve McQueen, Ali McGraw movie “The Getaway.”

The scene is a far cry from her look of corporate sophistication. Selena wears conservatively cut business dresses in bold red and black. Check out her photos.

Forbes Magazine offers some love to power couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Justin is the cover guy for their top 100 celebrity list issue. He sits at #3 on the list as one of the most powerful stars. He was honored to be listed in it, and is one of the much younger ones listed. As for Selena, she was listed as one of today’s new celebrity entrepreneurs. She was listed for her music, acting, fashion line, investments and now her fragrance. Her $750,000 investment for Postcard on the Run was the main focus of their interview. Here is a tiny highlight from what she had to say about it.

…I used to look through photo albums with my family, and now I don’t. There’s something really magical about holding a photo in your hands.

Justin also had a few comments to say about his social media investments as well, which includes Spotify.

Social media helped launch my career. Without the Internet and without YouTube, I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to put my music out there and have people hear it.

It is great to see that they both are listed for their work. I would certainly call them a power couple easily and I hope they can stay on this path. It seems like they know where they are going and I have no doubt they will one day find their own social media companies. They both clearly are fans of it, like much of their generation. I just wonder how they feel about being known for that kind of investment over their music/acting?

Are you happy for the both of them? I think it is a nice for them, but I do feel like they need to be known more for their music or acting over their investments. They certainly got to the point where they can invest by their talent, not their investments. So I do pity them for that, but it is a start to be recognized by business people.

Editor: You know Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber if they stay together can really become the power couple that Jay-Z and Beyonce are with their music and other investments. Both Justin and Selena have their own perfume among many other business ventures and we see Selena branching out into movies as well as Justin. I think if all goes well they could become the biggest power couple to ever grace the United States. Oh my with all the hype out Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby Ivy, could you even imagine how the media would react to the Bieber kids? Or maybe Gomez-Bieber kids if she keeps her name going.

Scooter Braun is denying that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have broken up.  In fact Scooter is denying that there is any problem at all between the ideal teen idol couple.  It all sounds fishy.  Scooter is trying to put the blame on ‘hacking’ to explain the tweet released yesterday that made it clear that Justin broke up with Selena.

It all started with a tweet from Justin Bieber the other night, “Thank you for the time i had with you but I have to move on now.” Within seconds of the posting the internet lit up with widespread speculation that Bieber had dumped his girlfriend of over a year, Selena Gomez, as we reported here at CDL.    Scooter Braun, Justin’s manager, cleared up the rumor on Friday.  He called the tweet “fake” and assured everyone that Justin Bieber “never tweeted that.”

So if he didn’t tweet it, then who did?  The insinuation is that Bieber’s account was hacked, but only to post that one tweet?  Wouldn’t that be a little odd?  I think it’s more likely that the “Boyfriend” singer actually was in rare form (if you know what I mean) and then perhaps had a bit of a spat with his girlfriend.

He did what many guys his age do; he made it public, but then regretted it.  Thinking he threw a snit fit is just more believable than him being hacked right now.

What do you think is really going on here?  Was he hacked and completely not responsible, or was he simply tired of dealing with his girlfriend and in that moment he forgot that the world was watching.  Do you think these two will have staying power as a couple?
